The exhibition season 2010 Minskexpo, JSC starts with the international specialized exhibitions for light industry, laundry, dry-cleaning and cleanness.
From the 23rd till the 26th of February the exhibitions ‘Bellegmash', ‘Footwear. Garment. Textile', ‘Everything for Sewing Industry' will be organized at the exhibition venue on Pobediteley ave. 14 in Minsk, Belarus. At the fairs both machines and equipment for textile industry, sewing, embroidery, knitting, for footwear production and ready made cloths, work wear, shoes, accessories will be demonstrated. Within the frames of the fairs the seminars for technologists of sewing industry will be held on the 24th of February from 11.00 till 14.00 at the venue conference hall.
The International Specialized Exhibitions ‘Automation. Electronics' and ‘Electrotech. Light' will be held jointly on one fair ground at Pobediteley ave. 14, from the 16th till the 19th of March.
An intense interest of native and foreign participants caused due to the fact that modern and contemporary technologies and products of automation, electronics and electrical engineering demonstrated at the exhibitions are in requisition on the market. These are the only fairs in Belarus covering this sector of industry. Visitors of the fair once again will find native and foreign producers and suppliers of automation means and electronic components, technological equipment and materials for electronic and electrical engineering. A business programme incl. presentations of the exhibitors, workshops will be organized within the frames of the fairs.
From the 23rd till the 26th of March the 10th Anniversary International Specialized Exhibition ‘Welding and Cutting' will be organized at Pobediteley ave. 14 in Minsk. Traditionally foreign and native participants of the fair will demonstrate technologies, equipment, know-how in welding, cutting, coverings, quality control systems, certification and standardization of welding equipment and etc. At the same time a specialized salon ‘Corrosion Protection. Coatings' will be held. The main purpose of the salon is to present on its fair grounds problem solutions in the sphere of corrosion protection of materials, technologies and equipment, durability and safety improvement of mechanisms and structures.
Within the frames of the fair an international symposium ‘Welding and Related Technologies' will be held on the 24th of March. The organizer of the symposium is The State Research and Production Powder Metallurgy Association of NAS of Belarus.
On the 25th of March the 1st Republican contest of young welders ‘Junior-Welder-2010' will be organized. Competitors: students of the institutes of higher education, colleges, technical schools. The contest starts at 15.00 in the Exhibition Pavilion at Pobediteley ave. 14.
An International Specialized Forum ‘Prodmash.Holod.Upak - 2010' organized from the 30th of March till the 2nd of April in 2010 at Pobediteley ave. 14 will join three exhibitions ‘Equipment and Technologies for Food Industry', ‘Cold and Ventilation' and ‘Interpak'. The main characteristic of the Forum is its urgency and potential. The exposition will cover technologies and equipment for food processing industry, refrigerating and packaging technologies, materials and equipment. Seminars, conferences, ‘round tables', presentations will be conducted within the frames of the Forum.

For its 20 year history ‘Minskexpo' exhibition company has become a leader of the exhibition business in the Republic of Belarus. In its business activity Minskexpo adheres to the principles of world exhibition practice and individual approach to each participant. The undertakings held by Minskexpo are remarkable for their high level of organization and culture. By right the company has deserved the recognition and authority in Belarus and abroad. 21 international specialized exhibitions of the issues of current importance were organized in 2009. The most important of them are the ones of industrial and research topics, such as: ‘Metalworking', ‘Budpragres', ‘Belagro', Food Industry', ‘Woodworking', ‘Belorussian Construction Week', ‘Automation. Electronics', ‘Electrotech', ‘Powder Metallurgy', ‘Welding and Cutting', ‘Medicine'. More than 160 thousand people visited the fairs in 2009. 2022 companies became participants of the exhibitions (75% of them are the participants from Belarus), the companies represented 28 countries: Belarus, Austria, Belgium, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Israel, India, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, USA. To organize the fairs this year was not so easy, a number of companies decided currently not to take part in the fairs, the firms cut down the expenses for marketing. In spite of the world depression, Minskexpo held every planned exhibition event thanks to the companies, which realized that even during the financial crisis the business activity should not decline. The first fair organized in the year 2009 was an international specialized exhibition ‘Bellegmash'. The fair once again gave domestic and foreign companies, engaged in the sphere of production and sale of the technological equipment for light industry the possibility to demonstrate the whole intersectorial complex of products, from raw materials to ready-made products. Three specialized projects that enlarged the fair were ‘Everything for Sewing Industry', ‘Footwear. Garment. Textile', ‘Work Wear'. At same time another 2 international exhibitions took place in Minsk, those were the international specialized exhibitions ‘Laundry and Dry Cleaning' and ‘Cleanness and Hygiene'. These fairs are unique for the republic and join almost all market participants of cleaning, laundry and dry cleaning branches of the country. Within the frames of the fair ‘Laundry and Dry Cleaning' a professional contest ‘The Best Inspector of the Enterprises of Consumer Services in Minsk' took place. The fair ‘Automation. Electronics' once again approved its high level of the international exhibition event. Since the first time of its organization 12 years ago the fair has become a traditional industrial show of business promotion. Today the fair is organized jointly with the exhibition ‘Electrotech. Light' which demonstrates contemporary electrotechnical equipment and systems. The 9th international specialized exhibition ‘Welding and Cutting' gathered the main enterprises and companies of welding equipment and materials operating on the Belorussian market: 75 direct participants from 7 countries. The latest trends of development of the branch were demonstrated at the fair. A unique international specialized fair in Belarus ‘Powder Metallurgy' was organized at the same time and on the same venue. ‘Powder Metallurgy' is the oldest and one of the most authoritative specialized exhibitions in Belarus. The fair demonstrates press and thermal equipment as well as powders for powder metallurgy. The specialized salon ‘Corrosion Protection. Coatings' organized within the frames of the fair provided a possibility to concentrate on one fair ground materials, technologies and equipment for corrosion protection, reliability improvement and durability of mechanisms and structures. One of the largest industrial fairs in Belarus the international specialized exhibition ‘Metalworking' was organized this year and became the key forum for machine-tool and tool builders. Production and innovation programs of the leading machine-tool enterprises and toolmakers which represent 15 countries were represented at the exhibition. Two building fairs were organized this year by Minskexpo, JSC: ‘Budpragres' and ‘Belorussian Construction Week'. The 10th anniversary exhibition ‘Belorussian Construction Week' joined several specialized exhibitions: ‘Windows. Doors. Roofs. Interior', ‘PlasticsBel', ‘Monolith. Structural Engineering' (carrying and lifting equipment, mass concrete, formwork). A wide range of up-to-date machinery, equipment, technologies and materials for construction was demonstrated at the exhibition. For the first time the international specialized exhibition ‘Budpragres' was held on two fair grounds: at Pobediteley ave. 20/2 (Universal Manezh) indoor and open area and on the open area at Pobediteley ave 14. Pobediteley ave. 14 exhibition complex saw building machinery, carrying and lifting equipment. A total number of direct exhibitors of the exhibition made 328 companies, 87% of them are Belorussian firms and enterprises. Within the frames of the fair a rewarding ceremony of the Republican professional contest ‘The Best Building Product of the Year' took place. The specialized trade-fair ‘Gardening' was organized for the 9th time. The fair enjoyed wide popularity both among professional florists, horticulturists, trade companies of the branch and amateurs gardeners for whom garden is a hobby. In 2009 the fair was organized jointly with ‘Belorussian Construction Week'. Due to that a large number of specialists of architecture, design, plant trees gardeners visited both of the fairs. Within the frames of ‘Gardening' fair the second specialized salon ‘Zoo-World' was organized. Participants of the salon exhibited a wide range of products for domestic animals and veterinary articles. An important role of the efficient functioning of the agroindustrial sector plays agricultural fairs. For native agroindustrial complex such fair is a ‘Belorussian Agroindustrial Week'. In 2009 four international fairs were organized within the frames of the forum: ‘Belagro', ‘Food Industry', ‘Packaging and Label', ‘Microclimate and Cold'. 599 companies from 19 countries became participants of the exhibitions. The exposition of the fairs was located on three fair grounds. For the first time the exposition of agricultural machinery and animal breeding was organized on the open ground at agricultural enterprise ‘Gastellovskoe', JSC, at the area of about 40 hectares. The companies were given the possibility to demonstrate their machinery afoot. Within the frames of the fair ‘Belagro' the first Republican contest of ploughmen was organized. The fairs ‘Food Industry', ‘Packaging and Label', ‘Microclimate and Cold' became the largest in the branch. By the requests of the participants of these three exhibitions in the year 2010 ‘Food Industry', ‘Packaging and Label', ‘Microclimate and Cold' will be organized from the 30th of March till the 2nd of April under a new title ‘Prodmash.Holod.Upak' and will unite thematic sectors of ‘Food Industry', ‘Packaging and Label' and ‘Microclimate and Cold' fairs. The largest exhibition for timber, woodworking and furniture equipment in the Republic of Belarus is an international specialized fair ‘Woodworking - 2009'. It gathered the leading companies operating on the Belorussian market of equipment, tools and instrument for woodworking and furniture industries. The exposition of the fair meets current needs and demands of the branch. At the same time and on the same fair ground the exhibition ‘Furniture. Design. Components.' was organized. The fair was organized for the third time and every year the exposition of the fair and a number of participants is growing. An important role in introduction of new medical technologies and improvement of health care system of the Republic of Belarus is played by the annual international specialized exhibition ‘Medicine'. Since 1993 the fair has become a meeting point of the representatives of the Ministry of Healthcare of Belarus, producers of equipment and medical products, scientists and practitioners of medicine. In 2009 participants from Belarus, Hungary, Lithuania, Russia and Ukraine demonstrated achievements and the latest researches of scientists, innovations in medical technologies, contemporary technique and drugs, the most effective equipment for technical re-equipment of health care system of Belarus. A number of exhibitors of the international fairs ‘AutoBelService. BelTransService' and ‘Belcommuntech' unfortunately reduced. Though the exposition of the fair ‘AutoBelService. BelTransService' demonstrated domestic and foreign machinery, equipment and instrument in the sphere of transport operation, after-sale service, as well as road transport infrastructure and at the fair ‘Belcommuntech' contemporary technologies, equipment and materials for road and street maintenance and for housing exploitation were demonstrated. The last exhibition in the exhibition calendar of Minskexpo, JSC in 2009 became one of the oldest fairs ‘Belproduct' which was organized for the 18th time. Thematic sectors of the fair included a wide range of foodstuffs, trade equipment, equipment for hotels, restaurants, cafes. The exhibition thus is popular among specialists of food industry, groceries, hotel business and public catering establishments and keeps its high level of the specialized fair. Every traditional fair of Minskexpo is included in the calendar of the exhibition events for 2010. Taking into consideration a complicated economic situation we constantly improve and adjust thematic sectors of the fairs in order to meet the latest needs of the Belorussian market and assist the exhibitors of our fairs to gain the maximum effect of participation in the exhibition events of Minskexpo.
